The main site language is English. We don't restrict usage of other languages, but
you need to be able to use/understand basic English gameplay terminology, such as:
Movement calls: "Go", "Push", "Back", "Hide", "Wait"
You will also need some understanding of the English language to communicate with
admins and basically use the site.
Inability to understand basic English gameplay calls, given in text chat, will result
in a temporary ban.
2. Leaving midgame
Leaving midgame prematurely will result in a temporary ban.
It doesn’t matter whether it was intentional or your internet connection went
down.
Once server IP appeared on the site, you have 6 minutes to join the server and
press !ready.
After first Ready Up passes, and game goes live, there are limits on how long you
can stay AFK/Unready/disconnected. The limits are 7 minutes per whole game, or 4 minutes per single instance
of AFK/Unready/disconnected, whichever expires first.
The ban length for leaving will vary from 1 hour to 32 days, depending on the
number of games you recently played without leaving.
3. Cheating
Cheating is not allowed. Everyone ever found using cheats will be
permanently banned from joining L4D2Center, with a very small chance to get unbanned in the future.
Everything listed below is considered cheating:
Bypassing serverside addon disabler: the only correct place for your addons is
left4dead2/addons folder, or left4dead2/addons/workshop
Modifying game files, such as sound files, or any other (except Infected vision
filter, you can delete/modify it)
Bypassing the L4D2Center Anticheat, altering the app memory or spoofing the data it
sends or receive
Automated bunnyhopping
Aimbot
Anything that moves your crosshair for you (180 degree turn scripts, ceiling jump
helpers) (except left&right arrows, they are allowed)
Anything that presses buttons for you (m1 helpers, double-click button on mouse)
Wallhack
Fakelag
Speedhack
Teleportation
Anything else that gives you unfair advantage over other players. If you are unsure
about some thing being considered a cheat, better ask admins before using it.
4. Griefing
Griefing is not allowed. This includes:
Suiciding your Survivor or Tank
Rushing alone
Friendlyfire on purpose
Playing poorly on purpose
Standing AFK in a critical gameplay situation
Exploiting server plugins in order to prevent game from continuing or ending
normally
Sabotaging normal gameplay will result in a temporary ban.
5. Toxic behaviour
Toxic behaviour is not allowed. Using the voice/text chat, to ruin the game
experience of other players will result in a temporary ban.
Everything listed below is considered toxic behaviour:
Provoking players into a conflict
Bullying
Placing too much pressure on players for their bad play
Harassing players, giving them excessive amount of attention
Using racial slurs such as the N-words, or any other kind of strong insults
6. Smurfing / multiaccounting / shared accounts
Having too many accounts is not allowed. You can have up to 2 accounts, if none of
them is banned.
Shared accounts are not allowed. Only one person can play on a single account. Giving
your account to a friend to play l4d2center will result in a ban.
Ban evasion with smurf accounts is not allowed. If your 1st account is banned, you
can't log in on the site with the 2nd one.
7. Streams
If you have your stream attached to the site, or you put the link in your
nickname, or in chat, the following rules apply
You have to stream Left 4 Dead 2. Streaming other games while promoting your stream
on L4D2Center (and not waiting for a game in Queue) is not allowed.
The language set in your stream’s settings must match the actual language of the
stream.
Your stream name and title should be appropriate. Don't put there anything that
breaks any other L4D2Center rule.
8. What we also ban for
Lagging too much or having unreasonably high ping to a location. It is your
responsibility to fix your internet connection before playing.
Spreading personal information of someone (rl names, photos, social links).
Putting sprays depicting nudity, or any other image prohibited by Twitch.
Impersonating someone (pretending to be some other existing player, which you are
not).
Reporting players with fabricated evidence, and lying in ban appeals and wasting time
of moderators to verify a false information
Overall destructive behaviour for the L4D2 community, like spreading cheats or
exploits to crash servers, etc.
