What is L4D2Center?
l4d2center.com is a website for playing ranked moderated L4D2 Versus games. You have your personal rating (mmr), which affects your placement in games.
Who can play?
You need to have at least 30 Versus games played on your account to be able to register.
Basic Versus gameplay knowledge is required, like:
- Knowing how to spawn/respawn and attack with each Infected class
- Knowing the path to saferoom on every official L4D2 map
- Playing cooperatively, not alone
FamilySharing accounts are not allowed
How to play?
1. Authorize on the website
2. Validate your profile
3. Accept rules
4. Press "Find a game" button
5. When Ready Up pops, press "Ready"
6. Wait for the server IP to appear
7. Connect
8. Type !ready in chat
9. Play
The site will emit sound as soon as the queue is ready, to attract your attention. Make sure the volume slider isn’t at zero value.
Press !ready during game even if your teammates are not ready.
Keep playing until you are automatically kicked from the server at the end of the game.
You can close the browser tab after the server IP appeared on the page.
How do you fight ragequitters?
We temporarily ban those from joining games.
Once server IP appeared on the site, you have 6 minutes to join the server and press !ready. If you are not on server, or you are not !ready, the game ends and you receive a temporary ban.
After first Ready Up passes, and game goes live, there are limits on how long you can stay AFK/Unready/disconnected.
The limits are 7 minutes per whole game, or 4 minutes per single AFK/Unready/disconnected, whichever expires first.
The ban length for leaving will vary from 1 hour to 32 days, depending on the amount of games you recently played without quits.
How does the mmr system work?
If you win a game your mmr value is increased, if you lose a game your mmr value is reduced.
The more scores you win in game, the bigger the mmr gain will be.
There is a second parameter: mmr stability. The more games you play, the more stable your mmr is.
If you dont play for a long time, your mmr becomes unstable again.
You need to play 11 games to get a rank.
What gameservers do you use?
We use our own servers, + we support some third-party servers (SirPlease, io.asia).
The full list of used servers is HERE
The server is selected automatically based on pings of the players.
What if I'm banned on a third-party server, but not banned on L4D2Center?
As long as you are not banned on L4D2Center, you will be able to join a L4D2Center game on a third-party server.
How do I contact admins?
If you want someone banned or you want to protest your ban, use Report/protest form. For other questions use the Steam group (group chat, comments, discussions, whatever)
